More than lessons
Whether you love singing, playing football or something else entirely, there is bound to be a social activity at HG for you. Everyday life at Hasseris Gymnasium & IB World School is shaped just as much by everything that happens outside lessons – and as an IB student, you are part of the whole HG community.
Friday café
On a number of Fridays after classes, students meet across classes and year groups to hang out, play games and enjoy the afternoon together.
Music
Jam Nights, choir, music workshops and a well-equipped sound studio – there is room for everyone, whatever your level.
Sport
Voluntary sports such as volleyball, a pickleball tournament against the PE teachers and the football tournament between upper secondary schools.
Clubs
From the knitting club and book club to the philosophy club – plus a homework café that is open twice a week.
Parties, musicals and gala
Throughout the year there are big shared events to look forward to – from school parties to the annual musical and the gala in the spring.
Parties
School parties are a fun and festive evening together. A student party committee takes care of the practical side, and teachers are always present.
Musicals
HG has a long tradition of staging musicals, where students take part as singers, actors, band, choir and dancers – or create sets, props and costumes.
Gala
Every spring, the school holds its traditional gala for the graduating students and their families. [Confirm that IB2 students take part.]
