International Mindedness and Life-Long Learning
Hasseris IB is the only IB World School in North Jutland. Take the internationally recognised IB Diploma Programme in English – together with students from all over the world.
Preparing students for further education and life beyond
As the only school in Northern Jutland, Hasseris Gymnasium & IB World School offers the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, preparing students for further education and life beyond.
The IB Diploma Programme is developed by the International Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO), a non-profit educational organisation, which was founded in 1968 with the aim of developing intellectual, personal, emotional and social skills to live, learn and work in a rapidly globalizing world. Currently, IB programmes for children and young people can be found in more than 6200 schools in over 160 countries.
More than a diploma – a way of thinking
At Hasseris Gymnasium & IB World School we have students from all over the world and with various cultural backgrounds, creating an everyday school life where core values like open-mindedness, curiosity and tolerance are key in our interaction with each other both inside and outside the classroom.
The IB Diploma Exam is recognized worldwide and in Denmark as a university admission exam, similar to for instance British A-levels or Danish youth educations like stx and htx.

Six subjects and the core
Learning beyond the classroom
As part of their youth education the students must complete a voluntary extracurricular program called CAS (short for Creativity, Activity, Service), inviting you to engage personally in the world around us on local, national and global levels.
"What IB teaches you is more than just knowledge. It’s a way of thinking and viewing the world around you"
